Aaron McClure

My name is Aaron McClure.  I am 15 years old and a high school student in Ohio.  My introduction to archery happened at a sportsman’s club youth night when I was 10 years old.  The Ohio DNR brought out an archery trailer with Genesis bows, and I was hooked from that very first arrow.  It took a little while to find a coach in my area, but once I got started, I knew this would be a sport that I would love.  I started competing with a compound bow in 2022/2023, but switched to Olympic Recurve after my first year of competition.  

Some of my accomplishments include:

2024 & 2025 Ohio Target Archers (USA Archery) Indoor, 3D & Outdoor Champion

2024 & 2025 Ohio S3DA Shooter of the Year

2024 S3DA Indoor Nationals Gold Medal, 3D Silver Medal, Outdoor Silver Medal & Runner Up Shooter of the Year

2024 NFAA Indoor Nationals Silver Medal

2025 S3DA Eastern Nationals Shooter of the Year, winning all 3 national competitions: Indoor, 3D & Outdoor

Outside of archery I enjoy recreational target shooting (pistol & rifle).  I am an avid reader.  I like urban fantasy and modern fiction.  I also create digital art on my iPad with ProCreate.  After I graduate high school, I plan to study aeronautical engineering while (hopefully) competing in a collegiate archery program.
