Carson Vroegindewey

Hi, my name is Carson, and I'm a 15-year-old archer from Lexington, South Carolina. I am arising 9th grader. I have a deep passion for American Sign Language (ASL) and am currently teaching myself in my free time. My goal is to one day become an ASL interpreter, specifically to support Deaf and hard-of-hearing archers, making the sport more inclusive and accessible for everyone.

I shoot a Hoyt Olympic Recurve bow and first picked up archery in the 4th grade-_I've been hooked ever since. Over the years, I've been honored to achieve some exciting milestones in my archery journey. I'm a two-time S3DA "Shooter of the Year," a member of the Southeast USA

Archery RED Team, and placed in the top 15 at the prestigious Vegas Shoot. I've also taken first place in several major tournaments, including the GAA State Outdoor JOAD Championship, the NFAA Southeast Sectional, the GAA State Indoor Championships, and the NC USA Indoor State Championship.

My biggest dream is to one day compete in the Olympics, while also serving the archery community as an ASL interpreter. I'm grateful to be supported by amazing sponsors, including Zulu Archery & Outdoors, Shrewd, Joeys Bowstrings, Easton Archery, and AAE.
